What counts as an event

Monita bills on monitored vendor events: every request to a monitored vendor that your sources observe — from the website script, the mobile SDKs, GTM container monitoring or a server-side integration — counts as one event. When a source delivers a batch, each vendor event inside the batch counts individually; the batch itself is not the unit.

Pageviews to unmonitored vendors don’t count — only what you’ve chosen to monitor does, so your bill scales with your monitoring scope, not your site traffic.

The Usage page

Usage tracks the current billing period (calendar month) as one consumption unit:

• Consumption chart — cumulative events per day, stacked by property, project or the whole organization; the same grouping drives the table below it and its CSV export.
• Forecast — projected period-end volume, modelled on each weekday’s recent behaviour (the same seasonal family as the anomaly engine) so a quiet Sunday doesn’t drag the projection down.
• Plan limit — your monthly event allowance drawn as a line on the chart, with bars showing consumed and forecast percentage.

Each plan carries a monthly event allowance; your own limit — including any custom contract limit — is always visible on the Usage page. Annual contracts show both views: a monthly guide (the annual allowance in equal portions) and the real annual total against the real cap.

Past periods are browsable — pick any closed month to see its actuals.

Note

The event limit is a plan dimension, not a kill switch — going over doesn’t stop monitoring. If your volume is consistently above plan, your account manager will be in touch about right-sizing, or reach out via Billing.

Billing alerts

Set percentage thresholds (e.g. 50, 80, 100) on the Usage page to be notified when period consumption crosses them. Checks run hourly; each threshold fires once per billing period, opens an issue like any other alert, and delivers to email or a connected Slack or Teams channel.

The forecast is your early warning: if the projected period end already exceeds the limit mid-month, you’ll see it on the chart weeks before a 100% threshold fires.

Other plan dimensions

Events are the headline unit, but the Usage page also tracks the other things a plan meters: audit pages (standard and advanced), seats and properties — each with its count and limit where one applies.

Billing

Billing adapts to how your organization pays:

• Self-serve plans — payment methods, billing address and invoice emails are managed in a secure Stripe-hosted portal; invoices are listed in-app with PDF downloads.
• Enterprise contracts — the page shows your contract terms (start, term, renewal date, payment schedule) and a direct line to your account manager for upgrades or changes.
• Trials — the page shows days remaining and a contact form to move onto a plan.
