Your daily briefing

The briefing is a recurring email Monita writes for you: what happened across the organization’s monitoring — new issues, recoveries, stack changes — prioritized for your role and ending with concrete next steps. A compliance lead and a marketing-operations director in the same organization receive different briefings built from the same facts.

The briefing knows your Seasonality calendar. Inside a suppress window it says so up front, reports volume issues closed by the pause separately from real recoveries, and does not ask you to chase quiet tags during a period you declared quiet.

New members are offered the briefing the first time they open an organization:

  1. Say who you are. One line — “Director of Marketing Operations, conversion tracking first” — is enough. This is your persona: the lens the briefing is prioritized through.

  2. Watch it write. If the organization already has monitoring data, Monita composes today’s briefing on the spot so you see exactly what you’ll receive before you commit.

  3. Pick your time. Choose the delivery hour (shown in your local time). The daily briefing is on by default — turn it off here if you’d rather not receive it.

Already skipped it? Everything lives under Alerts → Notify me: the Your briefing panel holds your persona, subscription and schedule.

If you belong to several organizations, each one keeps its own persona — and when you join a new organization, Monita offers the personas you wrote elsewhere as starting points. Reuse one, or better, write one specific to the new organization: if you wear a different hat there, the briefing should be prioritized differently.

Every briefing has the same fixed structure, so you learn where to look:

  • Status and headline — all good, worth watching, or action needed.
  • Top priorities — at most five, each with why it matters and a concrete next step, linked to the issue.
  • What’s changed — stack changes grouped by area (TMS, CMP, site builds).
  • By the numbers — new, open and resolved issue counts for the window.
  • Recommendations and good news — account-level improvements, and what recovered.

An unstable signal that opened and recovered repeatedly is reported once as unstable — not as a stack of separate issues.

Briefings send daily, every two days, or weekly (organization-wide cadence and hour — the first subscriber sets it, org admins can change it under Settings → Organization). Quiet windows produce no email: if nothing changed, nothing arrives.
