Realtime view

The Realtime view is a live stream of the vendor events Monita captures on a property. Where dashboards aggregate, Realtime shows each event the moment it is captured, so you can verify a fresh install before any dashboard has data and debug an implementation interactively: fire an event on the site or in the app, then watch what Monita actually captured arrive on screen within seconds.

  1. Open Monitor → Realtime in the app and select the property.

  2. Press Live. The view shows Connecting, then Waiting for events once the session is ready. Live capture can take up to 2 minutes to start, so give it a moment before you begin testing.

  3. Fire events: browse the site, tap through the app, or trigger a test conversion. Each captured event appears as a row within seconds.

Each row shows the vendor, the extracted event name, the request method, the request URL and the delivery status. Events from a mobile app also carry the bundle id and the app build (av), so you can tell which build sent what when several are in the field. Once a bundle id is set on the property, the app’s icon appears on its rows.

Click a row to open the full payload, including every captured parameter after your property’s exclusion rules have been applied.

  • Pause freezes the list so you can inspect rows while events keep arriving behind it. Stop ends the session.
  • Use the filters to narrow the stream to the vendor or event you are testing on a busy property.

Work down this list against a few captured rows:

  • Events are attributed to the correct vendor.
  • Event names are extracted the way your event mapping intends, not blank or raw.
  • The parameters you expect are present in the payload.
  • Excluded parameters are absent.
  • The consent string is present when your CMP has a state to report.
  • The status shows success.

Captured events appear within seconds. Starting live capture can take up to 2 minutes, and a session captures for 15 minutes while the page is open; press Live again to start a fresh one. Realtime is a verification and debugging surface, not a place events can be missed: everything shown here also flows to the property’s dashboards, detectors and alerts as usual.

No events arrive. Confirm the global script, iOS SDK or Android SDK is installed and initialised, and that the property’s vendor configuration is published. Then enable debug logging in the SDK (see the Verify section of the install page) or watch the browser’s Network tab for collect.monita.ai requests: Verifying network requests.

Events arrive, but under the wrong vendor. Check the vendor’s URL patterns on the property. A pattern that is too broad can claim another vendor’s requests.
